We start our trip on the third day a little bit late. I already estimated that this day would be a grueling trip, because we have a lot of place to visit and some of my family members had never traveling before. Like the previous day, we have breakfast at 10 o’clock in the food stall near the hotel. After having breakfast, we go back to the hotel. We get off at Orchard MRT Station. From the exit of MRT Station, we directly go across the street through underground to go to Lucky Plaza. We had lunch at the food court inside Lucky Plaza. There was a vegetarian counter in the food court. The prize was not too expensive. It’s around S$ 3-5 for each menu. Because there was no vegetarian restaurant we could find for dinner later, we decided to order some food and took it as supplies. After that, we went back across the street to ION Orchard again. From ION, we walked along Orchard Road to go to Takashimaya, the largest shopping mall on Orchard Road.

We spent our time and bought some stuff in Takashimaya until 4 o’clock, and we continued our journey to Merlion Park. To go to Merlion, we walked from Takashimaya to Somerset MRT Station.

We sit on Merlion Park and enjoy the beautiful scenery there. There was some show that would be held on the night in this place. There were some sound system stereo around the park. After took some photos and enjoyed the scenery for almost half hour, we continued our journey across the bridge to Esplanade Park.

This park is one of the oldest park in Singapore. This park was a little bit different, when i visited Singapore for the first time nine years ago. When i visited this park nine years ago, the Esplanade Dr Bridge (the bridge in front of the park) had not been built. So the scenery was more beautiful that time. So it’s reasonable if the park is currently lack of visitors for now. Actually there are a lot of historical landmarks in this park, which include Indian National Army Monument site, Tan Kim Seng Fountain, Lim Bo Seng Memorial and The Cenotaph. We just walk along the Esplanade Park to the Esplanade Theatres on the Bay.

We finally arrived in front of Esplanade Theatres on The Bay. This area was more crowded than Esplanade Park. There were a lot of local people who jogging in this area. We sit here and enjoyed the beautiful scenery in front of the Concert Hall for some minutes.

After several minutes, we continued our journey inside the Theatres on the Bay (Concert Hall). Inside the building, there were two hall that been used for Theatre and Music show. But in the centre of the building, there was a traditional music performance show. It’s free to watch. When i first time came to Singapore, it was a violin play. Last year, i came to Singapore, it was drum music show. So, i was curious about what performance i will see for this time. Too bad, the next performance show would be played on 7:15. And that time it was still 05:40. So we had to wait for almost 2 hours to watch the show. Because of that, we decided to skip the show and continued our journey to Marina Bay Sands.

We go to underground of Theatre on The Bay to Esplanade MRT Station. We go through Esplanade Mall before reached Esplanade MRT Station. Because our next destination was Marina Bay Sands, we took the MRT and got off at Bayfront MRT Station.

Marina Bay Sands

This is where the Marina Bay Casino (the second casino in South East Asia after Genting Highland Casino) is located. Marina Bay Sands was built by Las Vegas Sands on 2009. This mall was built with the target customer of rich people. All the shops that located in this building all is famous luxurious brand. In this building, we go out to the outside of the building to had dinner. We finally found a perfect place beside the Bayfront MRT Station Exit in Marina Bay Sands.

After had dinner, only i and my brothers entered the casino. My mother and sister-in-law decided to wait outside. Actually this was the first time i entered the Marina Bay Casino. The last time i go to Singapore i couldn’t enter the casino, because my girlfriend age had not reach 21 years old that time. Entering the casino make me compare Singapore Casino with Macau Casino. Singapore casino is a bit different to Macau Casino. The minimal amount to gamble in Singapore is smaller than Macau’s, so people who want try to play in the casino could play with a little money.

We spent about 10 minutes in the casino and got out. From Casino, we continued our journey to the last location of the day, Garden By The Bay.

This place was just opened to public since June 29, 2012. This park is integral part of a strategy by the Singapore government to transform Singapore from a “Garden City” to a “City in a Garden”. This park is really big. The park consists of three waterfront gardens: Bay South Garden, Bay East Garden and Bay Central Garden.The scenery at night was beautiful. But it will be also enjoyable if you visit this park at daylight. Because almost all of my family were already very tired that time, so i walked around the park by myself. There was a food centre in the middle of the park.
